Clear or Metal Braces?

I am going to get braces soon. I like how clear braces look. I don't really like the look of metal braces. They just aren't that attractive or cool to me. I am wondering which are better: Clear or Metal Braces? Also, which hurt more? which work better? which would you get? and tell me anything that you know about braces too please! Hi. I have braces. They are metal. They did not hurt putting them on. and both would hurt when thet tightened. My orthodontist said that the clear ones take longer to work.


Also the downfall of clear ones is they get stained easily so we might be walking around with yellow braces instead or red braces from juices and sauces.


Alot of people have braces its part of life and honestly it goes by fast.


In the end the prize is your perfect teeth.





So if you are asking for my opinion I would go with the metal braces.

hey lots of people say don't get clear braces because they stain, but i have clear braces and they honestly don't stain. But instead of clear ligatures (the bands on your brackets) I get white or tooth colored that way i can eat whatever i want and i dont have to worry about them staining. also 2years is a long time, and some people have it for even more so its best to get clear. for me its cost 400 more which isnt that bad because yes you can still see them but trust me its less noticeable .





oh and ceramic braces work just as good, and they actually hurt less because they are not metal.
I have metal braces. Sometimes I wish I had clear braces. Metal braces hurt the first week you first have them. Also, with metal braces you're not allowed to chew gum, eat popcorn, caramel, chew on the tip of your pencil, eat ice etc. I don't know anything with clear braces but I'm just telling you my experience with metal ones.
Get Metal, they hurt more, but they work much better, and can not be lost, you can eat with them on, and can choose the color, clear look better if your teeth are white, and hurt less, but they are not nearly as effective. I say go for ugliness and pain now for the most beauty later.
How old are you? If you are over the age of 21, I'd say go for clear braces. People do judge in the real world, and most (if not all) just don't look good with braces.





However, if you are under 21, go for metal.
i think you should get metal just because clear looks good only if your teeth are always perfectly clean

I think you should try lingual braces. They're -invisible- because they're behind your teeth so no one will notice. They work just like metal braces.
I like pink,blue or purple metal braces on some girls. For some reason especially on brunettes it can be realllllllllly hot!
