Which is better clear braces or reg. metal braces?

i have heard different things, and i am headed to go for my consultation tomorrow. i am 24 and dont really want the metal braces, but i heard that if you get the clear braces, (but the metal is still there) that they turn yellow ? please help. i dont really know anyone with braces, please help!Which is better clear braces or reg. metal braces?
I had friend who had the clear brackets and after a couple years they were yellowed. I had the traditional metal ones. I personally thought the clear ones looked really weird, but that was my opinion.

You may not have a choice in the matter though. Some insurance companies will just pay for the traditional metal ones, and your parents may not want to pay the extra.Which is better clear braces or reg. metal braces?
If it's the ceramic braces you're talking about then no they will not stain Themetal braces are actually a bit better looking in my opinion but either one looks great!( Ichoose the Metal ones)
im 22 and i just got mine on i have metal on bottom and you cant see them at all and i have clear on top and you can hardly see them although clear takes between 2-3 months longer i would at least get them on the top if i were you. no need to get them on the bottom no one see's the bottom
Not exactly sure what you mean by ';clear';. If you are referring to Invisalign plastic aligners instead of brackets your risk of staining is pretty much nonexistent because you take them out to eat and brush. If you are referring to clear brackets and conventional braces then there should be no difference between the two of these options as long as your home care is good and i would suggest 3 or 4 hygiene appointments per year.
metal ones are more efficient
