if u get one type on the top and a different type on the bottom, it will look ridiculus! u should either get all clear or all metal
The top half of my top braces are clear and the bottom half is metal. Then my bottom brackets are all metal.
I think you should get clear at the top and metal at the bottom because its better than having an entire mouth full of metal
i think the clear ones make your teeth look dirty. at least the metal ones hide the staining
