Should I get clear braces or metal braces and why?

I am trying to decide whether to get metal braces or clear braces. I am getting them on soon, but i have a while to decide which one. The Metal braces and clear braces both cost the same so i does not have any thing to do with money.


i want to get clear because they are less noticeable but i know that they are bigger than metal braces. So i do not want my lips to stick out. I do not think that is very attracting.


I am not sure if metal braces are any better. I here that they are the same but the clear are less noticeable.


Some of my friends say that ';if im gonna get braces then just show them. the clear is kind of tacky, because if you get clear braces the wire is still noticeable and you do not want people searching and wondering of you have braces or if there just a metal wire on your teeth';.


I have dine some research and some people say that metal is better and some say that clear is better. so i am stuck.

They have free consultations an they are better then ceramic an metal braces. You don't have to put wax on them. I bought mine they fit perfect an don't give me mouth sores. the only difference is that the clear ones are clear and the metal are noticable. but trust me it took my best friend about a month to notice my metal braces. the only way people will ever really tell is if they see you smile. the metal and clear hurt the same and feel the same. i have the metal and i sometimes forget their there . but every one is different to me they barley hurt and others have sever pain
Metal braces are much more durable than clear ones. Clear brackets have been known to break.
Go with metal ones because the are actually more comfortable than the clear ones. I have metal braces i like them. Even though you have to check if you have food in your wires every time your done eating, i suggest you get metal. My friend has the clear ones and she regrets it because it applies a lot of pressure to your teeth.

METAL! You will not keep the clear ones in, trust me. I have a plastic, clear retainer and I HATE IT. I definitely would recommend the metals ones, because you can't take them out.
Metal def. :) You can have different colors, and clear can stain super easy. I think the clear look weird, anyways. You know how they always say, if you got it, flaunt it! ;) I am getting metal in 6 dayss. :) Good luck with braces!
