There is only one licensed version of the Colt Delta Elite. This gun has a plastic outer barrel and a metal inner barrel. This may be the root of the confusion surrounding what the barrel is made of. Performance in this model may be iffy. A friend of mine owns a store that sells returned merchandise from large retailers. She got a whole shipment of returned and new Delta Elite's some of which worked fine and others of which didn't work at all. If it's the one you can afford, buy it...but don't lose the receipt. If it doesn't work correctly take it back and get a refund.
