I Just got clear braces on my front 4 teeth an i dont like it.before i get them tightend can i ask for metal?

I've just got clear braces on my front four teeth that i have to wear for a year and they looked cute on the display but now that i've got them in i'm not to crazy about them.Next time I visit before i get them tightened can i ask to change to metal?I Just got clear braces on my front 4 teeth an i dont like it.before i get them tightend can i ask for metal?
You could ask and the ortho will do it but like others have said, you are likely to be charged.


I had the clear ones and they went all yellow after a while, but to be honest I had metal on the bottom and my lip got so sore from the scraping that I had to have wax on the braces all the time. It wasn't pleasant. You can ask. But you parents are going to have to pay for new types of braces. And thats not fun. Its really expensive.





Oh and, clear are soo much better, they're not metal and they wont cut up your mouth as much. Trust me. I have metal, and every day I wish I had clear. [mostly because they are made out of some kind of rubber.]

You probably can, but your Orthodontist may charge you to do that. It costs them money and unfortunately they must pass that fee on to you.
