They do exactly the same thing, they just look different.


I always had metal ones. I hear that the clear ones stain easily, though, if you eat mustard or something like that. I would go with the metal ones, and wear silver ties. Silver elastics look better than colored ones (they look more mature and less like a little kid)

metal ones hurt alot more because they get caught in your lip.





considering your age i'd go for the clear ones even though they're a little expensive. personally, i'd be a little embarassed to have a hole bunch of metal hardware in my mouth at the age of 20, lol.
well metal are metal and clear are plastic, go with clear because they can't be seen as easily as the metal ones and the metal ones often get caught on the skin inside you mouth and cause ulcers. good luck!
