When you get your lip pierced do they have to use a metal ring or can they use a clear retainer?

Most decent places (UK anyway) will pierce with retainers now. But they may have to order one in.





PTFE and things are often easier to heal with than titanium, and its super hypoallergenic.

They use a surgical stainless steel ring. They have 2 use that until the piercing heals completely so there is no irritating of the piercing also 2 prevent an allergic reaction [ many ppl r allergic 2 nickel, silver etc.] after about 3 weeks u can change it and put a retainer in. hope i helped and good luckWhen you get your lip pierced do they have to use a metal ring or can they use a clear retainer?
