What kinda of retainer should i get?clear or metal?

I'm getting my braces off tomorrow,and i still dont know which kinda of retainer i should get.What kinda of retainer should i get?clear or metal?
i would definately say metal


1. my sister got the clear and she is always losing it


2. they're harder to clean


3. my mom told me they don't work as well as the metal kind.


i totally suggest the metal kind :)What kinda of retainer should i get?clear or metal?
I heard that the clear one helps to get your teeth straight and are removable,


and I heard that the metal one goes on the roof of your mouth and is more effective.





I am being forced to get the metal one, before my braces. (I have spacers in right now)





I suggest metal, it is more effective.
