Which retainer is better clear or metal?

I'm about to get my braces off, so which is better. I think I bite down in my sleep, but i am not sure, and I think that my teeth would look good without the metal, but which will ensure that I do not have to go through this again?Which retainer is better clear or metal?
Metal... It lasts longer and my orthodontist says it works better. Plus, the clear ones make your teeth look kinda fake in my opinion. Kinda denture-like. And even though they're a pain in the butt to wear, make sure you do it anyway! You'll regret it if you don't!!Which retainer is better clear or metal?
Well you're going to have a permanent one at the bottom. Ask for a wire because it works better and I heard it lasts longer. Trust me I want the clear one too... But i think the wire will be worth it. Anyway after a year or two of wearing your retainer you'll only have to start wearing it at night except for all day.. Depending on your orthodontist if he or she wants you to only wear it at only the nights to begin with.
In my opinion, metal. The clear ones tend to be flimsy and easy to break. Plus the clear ones are easier to lose. If you have any animals, it would be easier for them to get a hold of it and ruin it, and trust me you don't want to know how much that costs.
