I wanted Invisalign, but I can't get them because I have a slight overbite which they won't correct.
I really, really don't want the metal ones because they're so shiny %26amp; reflective.. I would be happy with the clear bracket ones except that I've heard two bad things about them.
1. They are bigger. Is this true?
and 2. They stain. Now of course I know they'll stain if you eat bad foods for them, but do the little O-ring things really stain over time even if you're careful?? Would it look cute to get silver O-rings instead so they don't?

u know what i have braces and i am 14, and i have the regular ones, they feel really good on your teeth when you get used to them! and you could know that you blend in with everyone else, having clear braces, makes people think you are embarressed and they will really make fun of you, and thats probably not the best thing that you want considering that you are probably a freshman in highschool!

yes they are bigger, if it were me I'll get the clear ones.
you shouldn't get the metal ones just because everyone else is getting them, it's ridiculous. (form what the comments are saying)

I would get clear ones! I am getting braces rly soon and am having toruble choosing too! I know everyone is saying to get metal ones, but i heard they hurt a lot more. Besides clear ones are less noticable, and look cute. I would get clear, for sure.

Your orthodontist already told you that you cannot be helped using invisalign so that means you need standard braces. You have an overbite that needs correction so you need to get the braces and get this corrected. You can choose what colors you want on your braces so think about choosing a new color each time you go in for an adjustment. My just got blue today when he was in for an adjustment.
normal braces....because you can change the color evry couple of weeks, and i mean a lot of ppl have metal braces so you won't stand out.
if you get clear i have FRIENDS with clear ones and they are bigger and yes they do stain.
GOOD LUCK it's okay, it's not like you are the only one with braces....you'll get over it (thats how i was when i was going to get braces)
Do not get the white brackets! Those things are so ugly. Just get regular brackets and silver bands. It will draw the least attention to your mouth.

Just get the normal ones, everyone else does. Invisalign is rarely used in teens, mainly for older people. Just face the fact that you're going have braces.
Depends honestly... Im a muscian so i went with traditional (even though they cut your mouth more when you play).. But the tradtional are much faster and cheaper than the clear ones. They also require less visits to the orthodonist. Granted their quite beastly at times, but well worth it for the 2 years it saved me, on top of the fact that the invisible ones are really just over glorified retainer type deals, and i lost mine about 5 hours after getting it..

and 2. they dont stain unless you never brush ur teeth
if you get metal ones you'll look like everyone else i have them and so do all of my friends clear ones get stained and they can break easier. if you get metal ones i sugest the ones that don't have the color on them they are less noticeable and they are easier to clean i wish i had got them i have the ones with color.
well i just got mi braces off like 3months ago, and i had them for 2years now.. but as long as u brush ur teeth the correct way, ur teeth will not stain... also u should go with the metal braces(that's wat i had) cuz actually there coming into style now, and also they ain't so big and dorky like use to..

1. Clear braces are not as big as they used to.
2. Yes, they stain. If you eat foods like curry, or drink wine, they'll stain. However, you CAN change the bands everytime, but that'll only help so much.
3. If you don't want braces, keep in mind that the clear braces are porcelain or ceramic and are not as strong as the metal ones. What does that mean? Typically, you'll have to wear them a bit longer.
i think you should get them normal and then get to change the color every couple of weeks
I would say metal, if you gotta wear em, wear em with all the pride in the world
That really stinks, oh no wait! Thats just me gassing as I laugh about you having to get braces!
